The New Inn offers quality walking holidays in the Yorkshire Dales as it is set in the magnificent Yorkshire Dales National Park with its dramatic peaks, delightful dales, rivers, waterfalls and caves and situated in the centre of the charming village of Clapham. Over thousands of years water erosion through the limestone has formed many amazing sights, such as Ingleborough Cave, which is festooned with stalactites and stalagmites, or Gaping Gill the most dramatic of North Yorkshire's pot holes where water hurtles down in a single jet over 365ft to the floor.
An exotic collection of trees, bushes and plants, many of them brought from the East by Reginald Farrer, the botanist, can be seen by the lake at the top of the village and along the nature trail.
