Things to do while staying at the New Inn Hotel in the Yorkshire Dales

From our doorway walk the Reginald Farrar Nature Trail up to Ingleborough Cave aprox 1.25 miles Then take a trip down Ingleborough Show Cave first discovered in 1837; regular tours are conducted 0.5km along beautiful decorated passages all spectacularly floodlit.

Visit the Yorkshire Dales Falconry Centre approximately 2 miles south down the A65 or walk via Eldroth and Lawkland a round trip of aprox. 10.5 miles with a choice of 3 hostelries en route.

Walk to Ingleton via Clapham Station, Mewith, Greystonegill Bridge & Moorgarth and back to Clapham via the Old Road and Newby Cote a round trip of Aprox 12 miles.

Drive to Ingleton and walk one half of the Waterfalls (as yet only open over Easter) then visit White Scar Cave aprox. 2 miles along the Hawes road Deep beneath Ingleborough.

Visit Leven Hall and unique Topiary Gardens. 20 mm drive up the A65 over the M6 motorway towards Windermere, or drive a little farther towards Grange over Sands and visit Holker Hall, Gardens and Motor Museum

A round 7 mile walk can be taken from Malham that takes in views of the Cove and Malkam Tarn

Drive south down the A65 to Skipton and wander around the market town and visit Skipton Castle. A little further beyond Keighley in Howarth visit the Bronte Parsonage home of the famous Bronte sisters

Drive to Settle and take a trip on the Settle-Carlisle Railway Train time Mon to Fri& Sat 9.46; 10.45 & 11.46am. Sundays 10.04 & 10.30am
